Villa Pia Q and A with Kai

Kai and his lovely family visited Villa Pia towards the end of summer 2016. He was kind enough to answer a few questions about our family holiday in Lippiano for our ‘Villa Pia Memories’ series.

Name

Kai.

Where are you from?

I’m originally from Düsseldorf in Germany, but I’m based in London.

How old is your child?

4 years old.

Have you been to Villa Pia before?

No, it’s our first time.

How did you hear about Villa Pia?

Through Mumsnet and also it was recommended to us by friends who’ve visited before.

What has been the best thing about your stay?

The food, the pools, the company. The whole surroundings, it’s just beautiful here.

Any suggestions for what we could do better?

You could offer a little more in terms of local outings, maybe organise a tour bus? Otherwise all the in-house activities, cooking, art and stuff are great.

How does Villa Pia compare with other family holidays you’ve experienced?

We’ve been to Country Kids twice and we liked that but here we really enjoy the food and having sit-down meals. Also Villa Pia is much greater value for money, especially with the food and drinks all-inclusive. Even out of season, Country Kids is twice the price and nothing is included.

Would you recommend Villa Pia to friends?

Absolutely! Well, maybe to some but not to others. It’s very kid-centric so unless you have young children, it might not be ideal for you. Also while the courtyard and setting are beautiful, this type of communal holiday wouldn’t necessarily be for everyone. But we’ll definitely be back!

Finally, any tips for new visitors?

We had interconnecting rooms, I’d suggest you book that too. It’s worth the extra money.

Thank you Kai, we look forward to welcoming you and your family back to Villa Pia soon!
