Easy Italian Recipe for Homemade Pasta
Pasta and Italy go hand in hand, but have you ever tried making your own?
Freshly made pasta is practically a national treasure and the traditional Italian family wouldn’t dream of serving up the store-bought variety.
Making your own pasta dough is also a simple and fun activity to do with the kids.
Here’s a quick and easy Italian recipe for homemade pasta, straight from the Villa Pia kitchen!
Pasta all’Uovo
Ingredients: 5 eggs
500 grams flour
Make a mound of the flour, break the eggs in the centre of the flour. Very slowly work the flour together with the eggs until the dough is elastic.
Form the dough into a flat circle and start to roll it out , always working from the centre out.
When you have reached the thinness you require, leave the pasta to dry for ½ hour and cut it to whichever shape you want, Lasagne, Tagliatelle, Ravioli, etc…
Buon appetito!
